4 practises to try this holiday season

Happy almost 2024 - it’s crazy to think that 2023 is almost over!

I thought now would be the perfect time to share a few practises that you can do over this holiday season to set yourself up for success in 2024.

I love taking time at the end of the year to reflect and reset - having a clear mind and vision on what I want the following year to look like has helped me to achieve my goals and step into the year in the best energy.

Here are 4 practises that I love to do over the holiday season to help shift my energy:

  1. Gratitude Journaling - As you wrap up the year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on some of the positive things you have experienced this year. Sometimes when we’re rushing between events or trying to fit seeing all our friends and family in it can be easy to forget we have so much to be grateful for. Set aside time each day to write down three things you are grateful for.
  2. Meditation - Finding guided meditations that help you to feel really good and high vibe can make the biggest difference to your mental health in silly season. It’s also the perfect time to build habits you want to carry into the new year - so if meditation is one of them, now is the perfect time to start!
  3. Digital Detox - Having no phone time and being truly present with your friends and family over the holidays is life changing. Make sure to set aside times (or days) where you can completely shut off from the world and enjoy the current moment.
  4. Self development (of course) - Setting time aside to get clear on what you want to achieve in the coming year, reflecting on how the previous year went and setting intentions on how I want to feel in the next year. This is the reason I created the ‘Do It For Your Future Self Course’ - it is a 7-day course that helps you get clear and set yourself up for success in 2024. If you want to know more you can find out here.

I thought I would leave you with some gratitude prompts you can use for your journaling:

  • What are three things you're grateful for from the day? Consider the small details that often go unnoticed, like your morning coffee or waking up in a comfy bed.
  • Reflect on a recent challenge or difficulty you faced. What positive aspects, lessons, or opportunities emerged from that experience? How did it contribute to your growth?
  • Acknowledge and appreciate the kindness you've either given or received today. It could be a smile from a stranger, a helping hand, or a thoughtful gesture. How did it impact your day?
  • Take a moment to connect with nature. What aspects of the natural world are you grateful for today? It could be the warmth of the sun, the sound of rain, or the beauty of a blooming flower.
  • Consider the people in your life who bring love and positivity. Who are you grateful for, and why? It could be a friend, family member, or even a colleague. Reflect on the ways they enhance your life.

I hope you have the most amazing holiday season my loves & I will see you in the new year!

Love always,

G xx
