Here’s what you need to do this astrological new year…

How often do you spend time reflecting and realigning?

I personally love to set aside time each month to do a mini audit - go through my highs & lows and then set intentions for the following month. I use our monthly audit workbook from our Do It For Your Future Self Course to help me with this!

Implementing this practice into my life has allowed me to easily pivot and shift when things aren’t feeling right instead of just sitting in the same energy for months and only realising it at the end of the year (we’ve all been there).

With the astrological new year just beginning as we started Aries season and seeing as it's almost the end of the first quarter of the year - now is the perfect time to set aside time for yourself, create some space and do a mini audit of where you are currently at.

Here are some of my personal tips:

  • Create Space for Reflection:
    • Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be interrupted. This could be a cosy corner of your home, a serene outdoor spot, or a peaceful room.
    • Consider using tools like journaling or meditation to help clear your mind and create mental space for reflection. Writing down your thoughts can help organise your ideas and insights.
  • Be Open to Change:
    • Approach the audit with a mindset of openness and curiosity. Recognise that change is a natural part of life and that your perspectives, priorities, and goals may evolve over time.
    • Embrace the possibility of discovering new insights or alternative paths during the audit process. Remain flexible and willing to adjust your course based on what you learn.
  • Practice Self-Compassion:
    • Be gentle with yourself throughout the audit process. Acknowledge that growth often involves facing challenges and confronting areas where improvement is needed.
    • Cultivate self-compassion by treating yourself with kindness and understanding, especially when reflecting on past mistakes or areas where you feel you've fallen short.
    • Remember that the purpose of the audit is not to judge or criticise yourself, but rather to gain a deeper understanding of your strengths, weaknesses, and areas for growth.
  • Set Realistic Expectations:
    • Define clear goals and objectives for the mini-audit, but also be realistic about what you can accomplish within the scope of the audit.
    • Break down larger goals into smaller, manageable tasks to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Celebrate small victories along the way to maintain motivation and momentum.
  • Seek Support When Needed:
    • Don't hesitate to reach out to friends, family members, mentors, or professionals for support and guidance during the audit process.
    • Surround yourself with people who uplift and encourage you, and who can offer valuable perspectives and insights.

Here are a few of my favourite journaling prompts to use when resetting my intentions:

  • What went well these past few months?
  • What didn’t go to plan these past few months?
  • What are some of my highlights from the past few months?
  • What are my lowlights from the past few months?
  • What is my intention for the next 3 months? How do I want to feel each day?

If you are wanting to take this further and do a full reset, I’d highly recommend our Do it For Your Future Self Course which takes you through my entire audit and goal setting process.

Love always,

G xx
